Wall Coverings
Wall Murals
We offer two forms of adhesive vinyl wall murals – permanent and removable. Permanent adhesive vinyl is ideal for wall murals intended to remain in place for 5 or more years. For projects lasting up to 2 years, removable adhesive vinyl is recommended. The installation of your adhesive wall covering depends on the type of wall it’s being applied to. Most walls need to be speckled, sanded, primed and wiped clean before installation. Because this form of material will experience natural shrinkage, the vinyl is installed so that seams are overlapping. A latex semi-gloss paint is then applied to prevent bubbling, staining and bleed-through problems. For permanent murals, an overlam (matte, lustre or gloss) is applied to keep the mural in prime condition.
Wallpaper
Wallpaper can be applied for the short or long term, though adhesive vinyl will outperform wallpaper for long term installation. In either case, proper priming of the walls is necessary for easier removal of the wallpaper. Once removed, any residual adhesive can be lightly washed with soap and water. Wallpaper murals are available in a variety of surface textures, though colors will generally be less vibrant and saturated as compared to adhesive vinyl wall coverings. Installation of wallpaper is a fairly smooth process. Most walls need to be speckled, sanded, primed and wiped clean before installation. With no natural shrinkage, the mural can be installed with very tight seams and no overlap. One of the major benefits of wallpaper is that pieces can easily be removed and replaced with updated information such as dates, locations, names, etc.
Mounted Posters & Prints
We can print posters, mount and laminate them on different substrates – or within a selection of plexiglass frames. There are various ways to attach your mounted posters and prints to walls and it depends on your choice of application – hanging, flush, backlit and standoff are some popular methods.
